PURPOSE OF DEPARTMENT:

To provide an efficient and effective finance function that facilitates strategic and management decision making.

To ensure that all statutory accounting requirements are met, and that the Authority’s financial health is maintained.

OBJECTIVES OF DEPARTMENT:

  • Ensure that statutory accounting requirements are met;
  • Develop both medium and short term financial plans, and ensure that these plans reflect the resources required to fulfil the FRS’s strategic plans;
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information designed to facilitate strong financial management, and decision making within the organisation;
  • Provide an efficient and effective exchequer function;
  • Support and develop the FRS’s management information system.
